Product description

The SKM aluminium elastic coupling is designed for applications where transmission inertia is a critical factor: servomotors, encoders, robotics, CNC machine tools, high-dynamic positioning systems.

Aluminium hubs offer about three times lower inertia than cast-iron equivalents while maintaining excellent rigidity and precision. The transmission gains responsiveness: faster starts, more accurate setpoint tracking, energy savings on short-cycle machines.

Aluminium also offers good natural resistance to atmospheric corrosion. The interchangeable elastomer spider allows torsional stiffness to be adjusted to the application.
