Product description

The SKT zero-backlash elastic coupling is designed for precision applications where the slightest torsional backlash degrades process quality: servomotors, angular encoders, three-dimensional measuring machines, very-high-precision machine tools.

The elastomer spider is pre-loaded between the jaws: it completely eliminates operating backlash. No clatter on direction reversals, no parasitic oscillation around the setpoint, no angular lag.

The hard polyurethane spider (typically Shore 95+) retains its pre-load over time, unlike standard rubber which eventually relaxes. The SKT is the coupling of choice for high-precision servo loops.
